I Am...
I am the writing on the wall,
I feel your fear but still you call.
I am known by a thousand names,
A myth roused from slumber by innocent games.
I am the whisper on the breeze,
I am the shadow no-one sees.
Come to me from your fear i'll feed,
I come to fill the insatiable need.
I am the rumour passed around,
From parking lot to school playground.
I am the temptation too hard to resist
To those longing for the deadly pleasure of my kiss.
I am the writing on the wall -
Beware what you wish for...
It may answer your call.
Summers Past
A yellow sun-flower
Floats in a bluebell sky
While blossom clouds float overhead.
Below, flower boats are awash in a sea of green,
As daisies break the chain and run free
Drunk on the sweet nectar breeze.
Time passes in dandelion clocks,
Blown on the wind to nothing
As phantom forget - me - nots wave their heads
Long after summer is gone.
Unforgiven
What interest have i of the outside?
When i am trapped in here.
Forever tangled in the dark stick webs of my mind.
In here i am alone,
With only my thoughts,
My dreams to keep me company.
I have no interest in your seasons,
Your world- For here they have no meaning
In here it is a perpetual winter
Where day merges into night.
Out in your world there may be sun, wind, stars,
But in here never changes.
This place has been here since the beginning of time and will stand to the end of it,
It was made with me and so shall end with me.
Out there, men kill men and women weep for there losses,
But here everything is still.
Unchanging, uncaring.
Why should i care for others when they have rejected me?
Forgotten me like a childs toy thrown away or grown out of.
They have forgotten but i will not and nor will i forgive.
I will stay forever unchanged,
Bound to this place by the invisible bonds which you have placed upon me.
I will stay here untill the end of time
Watching
But i cannot - will not do a thing.
I am bound because of you but you do not care,
I am trapped here in this despairing place
Out of sight, out of mind
But one day i will return.
I will return to claim what is mine.
All that was lost will be regained
And all of mankind shall once again
Feel my power.
The Unicorn
Silently the unicorn stood,
It's silver horn tipped with blood.
The onlookers fled in fear,
As the rider shed a silver tear.
The unicorn cried out in sorrow
For a man who would not see tomorrow.
The man who's life he had shorn
Was into the hands of Death now bourne.
Into the underworld where dark ones lay,
Where for his crime his soul would pay.
The crime he committed all believed,
All but the rider and his steed,
Who mourned his passing from this world
As the anger inside them slowly unfurled.
As the unicorn stared across the barren plain,
Its heart was torn with sorrow and pain.
As the new day slowly dawned
The unicorn still stood and mourned.
That silent flood of silver tears
Has released the force of a thousand years.
The unicorn in silence stood
It's silver horn tipped with blood.
Heavens Tears
The rain falls down,
The sky weeps.
The raindrops flow down my windowpane-
A river of coolness.
Inside I lie awake
Feel the hot, salty tears
Leave burning trails on my cheeks
Then fall
To pool on my pillow,
Sink and disappear into its coolness
Bathing it in heat
Setting it alight.
I listen to the rain,
Imagine its coolness
Trickling to fill me
Soothe my soul
Or simply put out the fire that is me.
The rain falls down
Heavens tears.
